Adventures with Maile & Minh!

Saturday - Jan 29, 2011

So it's Saturday, and I'm at work and it's slow, so I started to look at pictures on my iphone and found a lot of photos of Maile and myself. I thought I would share with everyone! (since I'm pretty much stuck at work, and there's nothing to take a photo of here)

The adventure begins at the Houston Children's Museum. Maile was trying to cook me up a meal at a local kitchen, however, I had to complain to the supervisor because the food tasted like plastic. Maile wasn't having it. Lol I have to say, this place is prettttty fun, whether you have a 2 year old or a 10 year old. There's so much to do, and it encourages the kids to try use their brain power to figure how the gadgets work. We also made some cool toilet paper characters. (i think that's how you spell it)

We played Uno, and I swear this kid can beat anyone at this game.. I just want to say.. "I hate you [WILD take 4 cards] and your brother [Take 2]". I think I won 2 of 7 times. Sad, I know, but what can you do *shrugs [o_0]

Now to lunch. You would think a Happy meal would be enough to fill this little angel up.. WRONG.. Baby girl eats daddy's left overs! LOL Where does it all go!? who knows.. All I know is, girls don't poop or fart (apparently Maile never got the memo tho)

Then there's roller skating, who knew my lil one was a lil bad ass at roller skating. I got her some bad ass blades to go with that bad ass roller skating ability. I mean, I was a pretty bad ass "roll bouncer" myself back in them days.

but the best part of this vacation was when she took my camera, and was playing with it and started asking a lot of questions about it and soon enough, she says, "Daddy. I want to be a photographer like you." *koolaide smile time!

Anyhow, that concludes our Thanksgiving adventures. (there's more pictures but there's too many to put in one blog) Please leave comments.

Til tomorrow, I leave this question for my subscribers, "what have you done for them lately" (read while singing Janet Jackson's song) Them being the kiddos or someone close to you! [o_O ]

Signs

Friday - Jan 28, 2011

Do you ever get the feeling that you've been given a "sign"?

Anyone that believes in karma, ghost, and hippies, totally believes this. A lot of y'all think that because you never play mega millions but just randomly say aa lot of billboards about it and you turned and saw the street sign with the number 28 on there.. another number here and there, that it was a sign, or that you just randomly went to an asian restaurant and got a fortune cookie with lotto numbers, that now you should play it, or that your knee starts to hurt and then everything falls out of place before your big trip, that maybe that's a sign not to go (yay Darylle!). Is this all really a sign, you ask? Shit.. I dunno. But I did get this sign recently. .

Take what you will from it, but. I was in my car, fondling with stuff, and the coke spilt all over, and one spot on my leg. Now, I don't know if I'm crazy, but looking directly at it, it looks like a freaking heart. Weird right? How did this happen? How the heck did a spill make a shape of a heart?? and Lastly, What's it mean?

Then I started thinking..
"Could it mean, I have a heart problem and that I need to go to the doctor soon!?"
"Maybe I need to show more love and more emotion towards others?"
or "Possibly maybe it's time that I found some "Real love.. I'm searching for the real love, someone to set my heart free
Real love..."
(gotta love old school Mary J B) >_<

DUN DUN DUNNNnnnNnnn...

I guess we'll never know. But it's still cool looking none the less o_O

Til tomorrow, I leave this question for my subscribers, "What kinda signs have you received today!?" [middle finger is a sign too o_O ]

The hobby within..

Thursday - Jan 27, 2011

I woke up today with a loud knock on my door. It was the FedEx man dropping off a package that I ordered the week before. One of my favorite feelings is getting packages. I'm not sure why. Could be because I don't ever get presents for any other day? (that's right, not ever christmas or my bday.. well my bestie leenerz did give me something for xmas this year, thanks hun!) Or maybe I'm just too easy to please. Who knows. I just know that I love getting mail. But anyhow.. back to the subject. So, I received my Pelican Case for my camera storage. It looks like this.

It comes filled with foam to where you have to do the cutting yourself and figure out what works best for your needs. This is pretty hard. But I managed to get it done and I managed to get everything that I need in there. So this is what it looks like. Pretty neat yea? Then another knock on the door, and its a huge package. I swear it's christmas, and my back drop system comes in. Smiles appear on my face. and I'm happy.

So the point of this story is that, I found a new love (besides Calli, lol). It's photography, even though I've spent more time and funds on this hobby than I've ever spent on anything else, it's enjoyable. I found a new hobby that just utterly makes me happy for no reason.
That's my story today.

So, I leave this question for my subscribers, "What makes your happy (besides friends, lovers, family, etc)?"

Organization.. Is it in your life?

Wednesday - Jan 26, 2011

Every so and often, I have a day off work (well today I'm actually working overtime from 12-6pm, but whatever). And during that day off, I usually clean and do house chores and such. Before I had a roommate, my life was very organized, I kept everything cleaned, sorted, and such. I had to, because no one else was going to do it. Then in comes the roommate, and then you sort of lose that "want" to keep things clean because you'd figure that its not your turn or you'd expect them to do it or they say they'd do it or whatever else. Somewhere along the line the ball gets dropped. In thus, my life started to drag and my happiness of life started to deteriorate.

So, after I started living alone again and started keeping my life up and organized, going back to what I used to do, (clean twice a week), I've all of sudden feel better about life. Loving it actually. I organized my closet the other day, actually. Color sorted t-shirts on one side & button downs on the other, all shirts on white hangers, pants on blue, shoe boxes lined up in order from brands, shorts folded, boxes of misc stuff (belts, gloves, ties, etc), shoes on the floor lined up from color to type of shoe to brand, outerwear from thickest down.. Now I feel amazing. I wake up, go to my closet and bam. I know where everything is.. Its weird how a thing, such as organization, can make u feel...

So then it got kinda crazy.. lol I started getting all my photography receipts all together and stored in one place, I started folding my towels exactly the same inch per inch, and I color coated my hats, I sorted my dishes in the dishwasher by size, I'm about to reorganize my pantry (oh what fun that will be) lol I soft of went outta control. Anyhow. Maybe I went a lil overboard at the end. But you should just take an hour out of your day, organize your closet and you'll see the impact on how you feel. Trust.

Til tomorrow, I leave this question for my subscribers, "What kinda kooky things have you organized?"

Good Deed for today - checked

Tuesday - Jan 25, 2011

What a beautiful day it is in Austin, TX today. I see birds playing in a puddle, strong little wind blowing, and also a car in the middle of my apt street. Weird right? I start walking to my car, and noticed there's no one in there. So I go put my stuff in my car and go back to the unattended car, thinking that maybe someone didn't put their e-brake on and they had a manual and it just rolled out. and WHooOoshh (that's my way of making a wind sound) another strong burst of wind comes and the car starts moving agaim and I'm like, "oh snap!". So I did what anyone else around me would do in this day and age. I took a video of it rolling around LOL. But then I decided to push the car back into the parking spot for the fella and right him a note. So I'm doing that, another car pulls up like it's needing to leave and he sees me pushing this car in the cold and doesn't even come out to help. He literally just waits there til I finish pushing the car back in it's spot. While I'm doing that, a tow truck drives by. Luckily, I had gotten the car in it's spot.

Now at this point in time, the wind is still blowing, and I can't let go of the car because it still rolling. So now I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to keep this car from rolling so that I can proceed with my day. So I let go and sprint to my car to try and find something to stop it from rolling and I'm doing this like 2-3 times, because I don't want that tow truck to see the car rolling, but on the last run I was able to grab something to stop the car from rolling but the tow guy does see me and the rolling car and comes over.

He drive by, rolls down the window, and started talking to me.

evil tow man - "Was that the car that was in the middle of the street?"

me - "ummm.. kinda.. why?"

evil tow man - "Well, you did your good deed for the day. I was called here to tow it because it by someone because it was unattended in the middle of the street. Now that it's back in it's spot and staying there it looks like, now I don't have to tow it. Lucky guy."

and then he leaves. That kinda actually made me feel better. Lol Good deeds do make you feel good. So there ya go. My good deed of the day. Saving some kid $234.47 and a trip to the tow yard.

Til tomorrow, I leave this question for my subscribers, "What's your good deed of the day?"

The world's going to end!! Are you ready?

Monday - Jan 24, 2011

The time is 7:40am and I'm driving to work. It's soo cold and early out that I bet lord baby Jesus is still sleeping! But anyhow, I have work at 8:00am today so I'm driving and I look outside my window and see the sky. I've never seen it like that before, but the only way I can describe it is that it looks like a tidal wave of clouds! It's crazy looking. It's just a straight line of clouds. Now, I start thinking to myself.. "is this some kinda Final Destination thing where I see how our future is going to end?! With a Tidal wave!?!?" That would suck, because I don't have insurance on my iPhone for water damage =\ meh.

Then I start to wonder.

"Aren't there predictions of the world ending in Dec 2012??" I don't know the specific date because I would rather be surprised.

Then I stat to wonder more.

If I die now, am I going to be happy with my life? Did I do everything that I want? My answer was "meh, this sucks." LOL

So now, I'm gonna start living to have fun. I'm thinking: DisneyWorld. Universal Studios. International Traveling. Dating. Scuba diving. Getting in the Guinness book of world records somehow. Streaking Downtown. Just stupid stuff. Then it gets emotional. I wanna have a house. I want to be married. I want Maile to have another brother/sister.. (well on my side of the family at least!) Teardrops on my guitar, man.

So anyhow, after about 2 mins of watery eyes (due to allergies, of course *ahem*), I decided that I'm going to look at the world through a different viewpoint. One from my camera for sure and another one through happiness. Doing everything I want to do and have dreamed of wanting to do. (well, that's legal of course) I don't know how the tidal wave of clouds turned into an emotional meltdown, but it was a nice eye opener. o_O fo-sho.

Til tomorrow, I leave this question for my commenters. "Whats your bucket list consist of?"

(oh, and BTW, I'm going to change the format of the pictures each week to something different, enjoy!)

Leave a comment!! =]

ABDC auditions today!

Sunday - Jan 23, 2011

America's best dance crew... Where have you been!? geeze louis it's been over a year, I think! I'm glad it's here though. A lot of my friends and even my dance crew at there right not battling it out at the auditions! Let's wish them luck, no? Alien Tactics Cru, look out for them and VOTE!!

I remember when I went to an ABDC audition. I think was for season 4 with my old team Urban Transit. It was a big group. Let's see if I remember everyone; Aaron, Bak, Caitlyn, Stacey, Noor, Shep, Trevor, Sean, and myself. Oh how fun it was to have that passion for dance. But then something happened (well to me at least). Something snapped along the line of my love for dancing, and it ended up with me not wanting to do it anymore. I guess I grew tired of it for some reason. I do it on occasion when I'm out and about with the group, but it's rare. weird. I guess that's how you know that you're getting... old? GASP!!! son of a B*&@#!!

so when's the next practice, I gotta regain my youth back!

anyhow, GOODLUCK ALIEN TACTICS CRU!!!
